THE FONT AT FIRST LUTHERAN CHURCH

The font is the symbol of baptism.  It is here that we receive the Gift of the Holy Spirit, and are released from the bondage of sin.  The octagonal shape of the font forms the mystic number "eight" which means Regeneration.  Our font is located on the floor of the nave on the gospel side of the chancel of the All Saints Chapel.
